Metro Milwaukee’s concentration of workers in STEM occupations is a competitive strength, but it lags peer metros on other key metrics including productivity, household income, exports, and venture capital funding. That's according to the recently updated Innovation Datatool from the Wisconsin Policy Forum, that is working in partnership with MMAC and a group of startup company funders and founders -- led by former Milwaukee County Executive and MMAC board member Chris Abele -- to strengthen the regional startup ecosystem.
